The Southern Center for Human Rights relies on individual donations and a limited number of foundation grants to carry out our work. SCHR neither solicits nor receives government funding. Our budget supports a 28-person staff and the cost of investigation, litigation, and organizing against the abuses of the criminal justice system in the South.
SCHR is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
There are several ways to make a tax-deductible contribution to SCHR. We welcome gifts by check, credit card, or electronic funds transfers, and gifts of stock/other securities. To support our work year-round, we encourage you to become a monthly sustainer by signing up online. This helps us ensure a steady source of income, and is an easy way to lend substantial support without breaking the bank.
Address your check to the Southern Center for Human Rights, and mail to:

SCHR protects our donors' confidential information. We never sell, trade, or publish a donor's personal information.
