The Southern Center for Human Rights has limited opportunities for highly motiviated individuals to assist us with our work.
Skills desired: Research skills, including ability to use online research tools; familiarity with MS Windows Office (Word, Excel). SCHR volunteers should desire to take on new projects and be detail oriented.
Volunteer opportunities are currently available in the following areas:
OFFICE MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION:
Assist with organization of Development Office including filing of donor records, copying articles and assist with other functions as identified.
Securing contact information
Work and asset information
Identifying current SCHR staff and board members
SCHR EVENTS:
Support Development in planning for annual events (i.e. 2012 Atlanta Event (May/June), Frederick Douglass Awards Dinner – (November):
Assist in identifying potential caterers, sponsors, etc as equested. Includes follow-up calls.
Assist with event mailings
Assist with marketing, including design of e-invitation,etc.
Assist with event follow up as needed
DIRECT MAIL ASSISTANCE:
Assist with internal mailings (labeling stuffing, etc.)
Spring Lapsed Donor Mailing (March/April)
Valentine Donor Mailing (February)
Newsletter mailing (Major donor, May)
Assist with special mailings as needed
