Community Safety and Police Violence: Summer 2022 Town Halls
This summer, the Southern Center for Human Rights will be convening conversations around policing, violence, and community safety in Atlanta — and we need your input.
For the next few weeks, SCHR will be holding community meetings open to residents, who will serve as community experts, within each Atlanta Police Department (APD) zone. Each community expert will receive a stipend. Our goal is to use the input of community experts to make eventual policy recommendations to the City of Atlanta, raise awareness within a variety of communities about the relationship between policing and violence in Atlanta, and take a closer look at racial and economic disparities between APD zones.
Please fill out this form if you’re an Atlanta resident interested in joining the conversation!
