The Southern Center for Human Rights (SCHR) will host its annual Atlanta benefit reception, Justice Taking Root, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 6:30 PM EST via virtual broadcast.
We are proud to honor the Georgia NAACP and Bondurant, Mixson, & Elmore LLP.
The Georgia NAACP will receive our Vanguard Award, in recognition of the organizations’ decades-long work to mobilize against injustice and speak truth to power. Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP will receive our Luminary Award, in recognition of the firm’s leadership and dedication to justice and fairness in the state of Georgia.
In addition, will also lift up the exemplary leadership of Sara J. Totonchi, as she celebrates 20 years with the Southern Center for Human Rights; 11 of those as the Executive Director.
Justice Taking Root will also include special remarks from Stacey Abrams, Founder of Fair Fight and Fair Fight Action, and feature performances by Caroline Aiken and Kareemah Hanifa, accompanied by SCHR’s Communications Associate Page Dukes.
