Ava Thornton

Ava Thornton joined the Southern Center for Human Rights as a Quaker Voluntary Service Fellow. In May 2020, Ava graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in African American Studies and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. As a student, Ava was a tutor at Wesleyan’s Center for Prison Education (CPE), a program that provides incarcerated people at two facilities in Connecticut with access to liberal arts studies.
