Caitlin joined SCHR in 2018 as an Investigator in the Impact Litigation Unit. She has an extensive background in grassroots community organizing and has been active in social justice movements in Georgia for over 20 years.
From 2009-2016, Caitlin served as the founding Director of the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities’ award-winning Real Communities Initiative. She then spent two years working as a consultant to a variety of grassroots community organizations, foundations, non-profits, and human service agencies throughout Georgia and across North America.
During the 2017 and 2018 legislative sessions, Caitlin served as a Legislative Consultant for Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, where she led efforts to lower the standard of proof for intellectual disability in death penalty cases in Georgia.
