Cody Cutting joined SCHR’s Impact Litigation Unit as an Equal Justice Works Fellow in 2019. Cody earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he represented children charged with crimes as a member of the Juvenile Defender Clinic and defended noncitizens facing the threat of deportation as a member of the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Cody spent his law school summers working for the Southern Center for Human Rights and the ACLU’s Criminal Law Reform Project. At NYU, Cody also served as a Senior Articles Editor for the NYU Review of Law & Social Change, a case manager for the Washington Square Legal Services Bail Fund, and represented high school students through the Suspension Representation Project. Prior to law school, Cody worked at the civil rights law firm Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady and the Brennan Center for Justice. Cody received his B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Brown University.
