Maya Chaudhuri is an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Pillsbury Shaw Pittman LLP in the Impact Litigation Unit. She was previously an Open Courts Fellow at the Texas Fair Defense Project. Maya graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 2021 with specializations in Critical Race Studies and the Public Interest Law and Policy programs. During law school, she was a summer clerk at the Promise of Justice Initiative and the Public Defender Service for DC. She also served as the Chief Executive Editor of the UCLA Law Review and was a Bunche Graduate Research Fellow. Before law school, Maya was a Senior Investigator at SCHR in the Impact Litigation Unit. She holds a B.S. from Georgetown University.
