Mike Admirand joined the Capital Litigation Unit as a Staff Attorney in 2018. Mike started his legal career at the Capital Appeals Project in New Orleans, where he represented death-sentenced individuals in Louisiana on direct appeal and in state post-conviction proceedings. Mike spent five years at CAP before moving to the Federal Public Defender’s Office in New Orleans as an Appellate Assistant Federal Public Defender. Mike then joined The Justice Collaborative as Senior Legal Counsel in 2017, assisting advocates around the country in their efforts to reform their local justice systems. Mike holds an A.B./Sc.B. dual degree from Brown University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana bars.
