Southern Center for Human Rights Hosts Pain & Power Part II on February 22, 2024

Last August, we welcomed Samuel Sinyangwe, a renowned data scientist and co-founder of Campaign Zero, The Mapping Police Violence Project, and The Police Scorecard, as our keynote speaker at Pain & Power Part I. His notable contributions to countering police violence reflect our larger commitment to data-driven solutions. Because we believe the people closest to problems are also closest to the solutions, Atlanta residents participated in our Community Safety & Police Violence project over the last year and offered solutions directly to elected officials as community experts.

Pain & Power Part II will feature the mini-documentary we commissioned about the project, followed by a lawmaker panel and community talk-back about what real-time change is possible.

The event will take place at the Auburn Avenue Research Library in downtown Atlanta. We’ll begin the evening with a reception at 6:00 PM and programming will immediately follow at 6:30 PM.
