Sharnell S. Simon

Sharnell Simon is an investigations and litigation associate at Jones Day. She represents clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, counsels clients facing governmental investigations, and conducts internal investigations on behalf of companies, audit committees, and boards.

Sharnell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Spelman College and graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in 2019. During law school, she participated in the GSU Law Review, Moot Court, Black Law Students Association, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Sharnell maintains an active pro bono practice, which involves assisting survivors of human trafficking receive post-conviction relief, volunteering with the Georgia Justice Project to help clients complete their pardon applications, and representing clients in various immigration matters. Sharnell also serves on the State Bar of Georgia Access to Justice Committee. Sharnell has been part of the Southern Center for Human Rights Ambassador’s Leadership Council since April 2020 and hopes to continue advancing the mission of the SCHR through her service on the Council.
