Suad Abdel aziz

Suad Abdel aziz is honored to be coordinating SCHR’s First Amendment Lawyer Bridge Project as the First Amendment Fellow. Within this role she will be building out SCHR’s mass defense infrastructure to support protestors.

Suad earned her J.D. from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has devoted her legal career to advancing the rights of communities facing security state abuse and repression. While in law school, she provided direct representation of clients as a student practitioner within the Criminal Defense Clinic. Suad has worked with Palestine Legal, advising Palestine human rights advocates on free speech violations, and with the Center for Constitutional Rights and Project South on issues surrounding surveillance, mass incarceration, and corporate obligations under international human rights law.

Most recently, Suad served as the Leonard Weinglass Fellow for the National Lawyers Guild, working to support activists and organizers in the Atlanta area.
